Arizona Office of the Governor
Massachusetts Health Care Quality and Cost Council

Client:
Arizona Office of the Governor

Challenge:
Provide state officials with an understanding of components of health reform and potential design strategies to reduce the number of uninsured.

Response:
Bailit developed a series of issue briefs on a number of health reform topics including premium assistance and premium subsidies for the uninsured, utilizing health insurance exchanges, Section 125 plans, and cost containment strategies.

Client:
Massachusetts Health Care Quality and Cost Council

Challenge:
Assist Massachusetts in efforts to contain health care costs to protect gains in coverage made through the Commonwealth’s 2006 Health Reform Act.

Response:
Bailit staffed the Cost Containment Committee of the Council and facilitated its efforts to develop its “Roadmap to Cost Containment.”  Bailit developed background papers on several potential cost containment strategies, led stakeholder meetings, recommended specific cost containment initiatives, and facilitated meetings of the full Council, the Cost Containment Committee and the Council’s Advisory Committee.  Bailit drafted the final Roadmap, which was released by the Council in November 2009.
